Biomimetic Media Facade: Thematic Pavilion Expo 2012 Yeosu
Vienna/South Korea.The aim of the soma design was not to visually represent the Expo theme, "The living Ocean and Coast", but to implement its agenda through a sustainable climate design and the biomimetic principle of the kinetic media facade. As a counterpart to the virtual multi media the facade shows and emphasise the manifold potentials of analogue architectural effects.

'Olympic' Bridges by Bartenbach from Austria
Aldrans/Österreich. The footbridge of the main park area consists of two main bridges. The bridges form special transitions within and through the park by symbolized blades from a 'big' saw.
Vertical LEDs illuminate certain areas of the pedestrian bridge from the top with 15 to 18 meter mast fixtures. The lower part of the bridges are highlighted with individually arrangeable spots with non-glare illumination of the square from different angles. Halogen-metal-vapour lamps were used for this lighting part.

Osram illuminates 2012 European Football Championship
Winterthur. Osram will be installing the latest light technology in four stadiums for the European Football Championship, which is to be held in Poland and the Ukraine from June 8 to July 1, 2012. The National Stadium in Warsaw is the absolute highlight. Osram will be supplying cutting-edge lighting solutions for the stadium fac?ade, which is to be used as a gigantic screen. "In a stadium, a range of very different lighting situations must be catered to in a small space and these require individual solutions.
Zumtobel:
Third Zumtobel Group Award 2012
Dornbirn. The award, which the Zumtobel Group will present in autumn for the third time since 2007, is organised in conjunction with Aedes Architecture Forum, Berlin, as curators. In May the international jury will choose winners in five categories. Backstory: TRIPTYQUE in São Paulo and the non-profit design group Terreform ONE + Terrefuge in New York City were the winners 2010. more
