Berlin (shm). 'Good light with LED?' Under this slogan consultants from German lighting manufactures discussed the latest LED-Technology, LED-Retail and LED-Design aspects. One thing was sure for all attendees: LED will be one of the top level billon dollar market for lighting-manufactures, lighting-traders, architects and lighting designers in the future. Countries which start to illuminate their needs, will profit most from the new LED-Technology, like Dubai. Others have to reinvest in their lighting infrastructure where it makes sense for example in cities, public buildings and public places. The run on LED-Technology has already started in German town-halls.

One focus was the question about LED lighting in respect of substitution or replacement of other lighting systems and lamps. Is it possible? - The answer to that is: No, not yet and it depends! When the whole world would switch to LED right now, there will not be enough lighting companies which can supply clients in a proper way.
